About Simon

Simon Borland is a screenwriter living in the San Francisco Bay Area. Recently, his short film script, “What Happened At Callahan Ranch”, was selected as one of the top screenplays in his class. Currently, he is working on several projects including a war drama and some comedies.

When he’s not writing, Simon is typically out roaming the Santa Cruz mountains in search of an adventure. He doesn’t care what the adventure is, he just wants to get up from his godforsaken antique wooden dining chair and out of his grandparent’s old-people-fart-air house.

A recent hobby of his is rockhounding, which entails him wandering around dried up rivers for hours in search of specific rocks that he’ll never find because they aren’t native to his area. He knows he’s not good, he’s just happy that he’s trying.
